I've been a journalist for four decades -- the Associated Press, Wall Street Journal, Orange County and two TV stations.  In every place I worked, our ideals paralleled something President Lincoln once said: "Give the people the facts and the nation will be safe."

We think that applies to our community as well.

 

Our mission at the North Long Beach Vibe is to bring you the news that matters, free of political or idealogical flavoring.

The stakes are high -- no examples exist of a functioning democracy absent a dedicated and professional news media.
